I find it interesting.
Trees in climate change
In two collages of my homepage there are already more than just the annual rings to be seen.
…for art, you see new nature pictures with corrugated cardboard paper.
Global warming, rising forest fires and less or more extreme precipitation and rainfall are threatening the existence of our forests. Spruce, poplar, beech and even oak trees are drying out and are attacked by fungi and bacteria. I show the extend of tree infestation using the example of tree slices.

Pictures, Comparison before and restoration
The poplar shoes a visible fungal infestation. The tree slice become a map. The fungus is extremely evident in the capillaries for water supply. The annual rings are almost disappearing.

Picture 3: The spruce shows a hollow tree slice in the restoration, due to the fungal infestation of a wound- and core rot.
Toscana oak, 2003
The oak has grown well for 25 years. Dried up over the next 10 years. The location was Volterra, Italy.
Pictures of Beech
The beech tree dries up, shrink, show cracks in the wood.
The fungal infestation becomes visible in brown structures in the beech discs. Here, too, the annual rings fade.
Nature still gives us healthy trees, as this Acacia finally shows. For how much longer?
